Election Loss Possible
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) FREETOWN (Sierra Leone), March 19. The Government of Sir Albert Margai today faced the possibility of defeat in the General Elections. With results from 58 of the 66 ordinary seats for the new House of Representatives known, the Opposition All People’s Congress had a total of 29 seats. The Government’s Sierra Leone People’s Party had 27, and two Independents had been elected. Opposition candidates have beaten four of Sir Albert Margai’s Cabinet Ministers. Stage Debut—Prince Charles made his stage debut on Friday night in a Gilbert and Sullivan opera. He took the role of the pirate king in “The Pirates of Penzance.” —Edinburgh, March 19.
