STUDIO FIRE.—Rubble litters the set, a New York street scene, at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studio in Culver City, California, as firemen fight a fire that heavily damaged three permanent outdoor sets as well as an adjacent building, Filmways Incorporated, where television commercials are made. The fire was out of control for an hour. Damage was estimated between 50,000 and 100,000 dollars.
