Appreciation Expressed
Appreciation of the services of the chairman of the Regional Planning Authority (Mr E. J. Bradshaw) was recorded by the Waimairi County Council on Thursday evening. Mr Bradshaw had contributed more than his share to civic affairs, said Cr. R. C. Neville. “He has achieved remarkable things.” Mr Bradshaw had offered to resign now or in six months, and Cr. Neville moved the council express its appreciation of his work and ask him to withold his resignation for six months. The county chairman (Mr D. B. Rich) endorsed Cr. Neville’s remarks, and said Mr Bradshaw had given great service to the community while carrying out one of the most thankless tasks in metropolitan affairs.
