“The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. Barellan and Dee Dee will be a popular combination for the T.A.B. double at the Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s meeting tomorrow. The hardest for Barellan to beat in the first leg, the Easter Trial, could be Dalvui and Bywon. The best chances, beside Dee Dee, in the Paeroa Cup are expected to be Arbroath and Yardstick. Bardowie Fit Bardowie, which missed the Chalmers Handicap because of the soft track, proved too good for Grand Coeur in a gallop over a mile on the plough at Awapuni yesterday morning. They ran the distance in Imin 44sec with Bardowie clear at the finish. Bardowie will be one of the favourites for the President’s Handicap at Trentham tomorrow.
Dutch Migrants.—A party of 70 Dutch immigrants arrived in Auckland in the Flavia on Wednesday night. The Netherlands and New Zealand agreed to share part of the cost of their passages. —(P-A.)
