5000 Unionists To March
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 16. About 5000 trade unionists would march through Wellington city tomorrow morning to the Town Hall for the Federation of Labour stop-work meeting, said the president of the Federated Seamen’s Union, Mr W. A. Martin, today. The marchers will include about 1500 watersiders, some 2000 truck drivers, more than 1000 freezing workers, several hundred seamen, plus harbour board workers, barmen and cooks and stewards, said Mr Martin.
