Telephone Petition
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, March 16. A petition to Parliament campaigning for a reduction in the rental of telephones for age and invalid beneficiaries will be circulated by the Aged Widows’ and Invalids’ Association.
The association’s annual conference decided at Mount Maunganui yesterday that the rentals should be reduced as telephones were in many cases a necessity for elderly people living alone.
