PREVIEW GIVEN
U.K. ‘Freeze’ Plans (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON. March 16. The British Government gave both sides of industry a preview of their economic plans yesterday and brought comments of “unfair” from the unions and “very encouraging” from the employers. Some of the major British unions have already declared that they will ignore the plan and use industrial action to support pay claims. The preview was to show leaders of both sides just what the Government plans to do to keep wages and prices in check after the present “freeze” ends in July.
