The following is the time-table for events for the Methven show on Saturday:— 9.00 a.m.—Horse and pony judging and dog trials begin. 9.30 a.m.—Cattle judging begins. 10.00 a.m.—All other judging begins. 1.15 p.m.—First woodchop begins. 1.45 p.m.—Second woodchop begins. 2.05 p.m.—Demonstration by marching girls. 2.15 p.m.—Grand parade. 2.45 pan.—Third woodchop and F.E.I. jump begin. 3.30 p.m.—Teams’ woodchop race begins. 3.45 p.m.—Polo match (Ashburton v. Ashley). 4.15 p.m.—Final of dog trials in ring. 4.45 p.m.—Steer riding begins. NOTE.—If time permits a pony exhibition jump will be held.
