LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
(1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. A P.O. box number is not a sufficient address. (2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. (3) The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing; nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words. Rajacasam.—Closed. Grateful.—Thank you. F 8 what complaint do you refer? B. Reasonable.—The comparl-s-n is unnecessarily offensive. Sex Maniac.—No space to discuss your mania just now. Fireball.—More likely the effects of the 2i per cent wage order. L. Norton.—Discussions on religion not encouraged in this column. Not So Old. —We see no need to reopen correspondence on “Mona Vale" just now. Back-stop.—You could take it up with the donors. We have no space to discuss it here.
Citizen.—" Some” would be more accurate. In any case, a strong element of contract is involved. Disappointed Admirer.—The equipment is only an aid to the judge, to help him when , he is in doubt. George Pratt and Others.—Professor Geering’s views will not be open for discussion in this column. Objective Lens. —The technicolour seems a bit garish. The City Engineer’s Department is always ready to go into specific complaints. Mimi.—The manager of the theatre says that normally the advertising film would be shown at the interval. It was moved to the beginning of the programme to avoid interrupting the opera.
