PROPERTIES SOLD
Three Bring £7150 Offered on account of the mortgagee, three Christchurch properties were sold for £7150 at public auction yesterday. The sale was held by W. E. Simes and Company. The auctioneer was Mr R. Simes.
The properties included a house converted into four flats
on a section of 30.2 perches at 368 Armagh street; two houses on one title on a section of 32.8 perches at 197 and 201 Fitzgerald avenue; and a lock-up shop and house on a section of 12.5 perches at the south-west corner of Fitzgerald avenue and Armagh street. The Government valuation of the three properties is £8450.
After opening the bidding at £5250. Mr Simes took one bid of £l5O, 17 of £lOO, and one of £5O. N. H. McCrostie and Company has sold a house at 11 Kilmarnock street, Riccarton, by private treaty. The property was passed in at £4750 when offered at auction.
A section of 64 perches, zoned industrial C, at 47 Hands road, Addington, has been sold by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd., on account of the Waimairi County Council. The section was passed in at auction last month.
