Successful applicants will be recruited into the Permanent Staff in the General (non-profes-sional) Division for Initial training and subsequent career in the following types of Civil Engineering work: (a) Investigation. (b) Quality Control of Construction Materials. (c) Supervision of Construction and Workmanship. Applicants accepted for appointment will undergo a five year period of training and will be expected during this period to study for the official promotion examinations.
