Cantabrian XV Chosen Three members of the Wellington Rugby team—K. F. Gray, T. N. Lister and B. J Coulter—who played In sides that inflicted convincing defeats on the Springboks and the Lions, have been chosen for the Cantabrians to play the Sassenachs from Otago on April 1 at Southbridge. The inclusion of Gray gives the Cantabrians team six All Blacks, as five of Canterbury’s internationals—W. F. McCormick, D. A. Arnold, B. A. Watt, A. G. Steel, and J. N. Creighton—are also in the side.

The club captain of the Cantabrians club (Mr P. V. Kearney) said that matches had been arranged against the Sassenachs and, later, the Auckland Barbarians, to give the public a chance to see firstclass players before the official season starts. The Cantabrian team is:

McCormick; Steel, Arnold, R. Colombus (Canterbury); R. Gray (Wellington), Watt (Canterbury); Coulter (Wellington); N. G. Cornelius (Canterbury); Lister (Wellington), A. Hopkinson (Canterbury), J. Francis (Canterbury), M. Hanham (Mid-Can-terbury); C. R. Hockley (Canterbury), J. N. Creighton (Canterbruy), K. F. Gray (Wellington).

Emergencies for both teams are:—P. Hatchwell, L. J. Davis. D. O. H. Rocke (a visiting player from England), I. H. Penrose. D. Pirie, J. F. Burns.

Champions Meet.—The New Zealand mile champion, B. Burns (Otago), will race against the national . half-mile titleholder. K. Ross (Wanganui), over 880 yards at Wanganui tomorrow.
