Half-Cent Change
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. March 14. A half-cent postage stamp will become in effect a unit of currency after the decimal changeover. Decimal conversion of inland postal rates will create a 2| cent charge for each Bot of printed matter. Because there would be no half-cent coin, anyone who wanted to buy 2] cent stamps would have to buy them in even numbers or accept a half-cent stamp as change, a Post Office spokesman said today.
