‘Perfect On Dispatch’
GV.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Mar. 12. A £12,500 consignment of snap-frozen fish, part of which was condemned as unfit for human consumption when it reached Sydney, left Auckland in perfect condition, the managing-director of Sanford, Ltd., Mr F. V. Lindberg, said today. “We have reports from Sydney that say that several hundred of the 5000 packets of fish we sent over' have been contaminated by sea water on the voyage across," said Mr Lindberg. “Unloading is continuing; as yet we don’t know just how much of the consignment is damaged.” “AU the cargo unloaded is being carefuUy checked by consignees, underwriters and shipping officials, and only fish in good condition will be going on to the market,” said Mr Lindberg.
