University Swimming Representatives
The New Zealand Universities 1966 representative at swimming and water polo, K. Thornton, is captain of the Canterbury swimming team to compete in the Universities’ Easter tournament Thornton, a Victoria University blue at swimming, and a Canterbury blue in both swimming and water polo, has been in. the Wellington water polo team which has won the New Zealand senior B title for each of the last two years. The team is:— Man 110 Yards Frestyl*.—R. Jones, R. Gibbons. 220 Yards Freestyle.—K. Thornton, R. Sandom. 440 Yards Freestyle.—Gibbons, Sandom. 110 Yards Backstroke.—Thornton, J. Fraser. 110 Yards Butterfly.—Jones, Fraser. 110 Yards Breaststroke.—W. Smith, P. Jepson. 220 Yards Breaststroke.— Smith, Jepson.
