Man Flown To Hospital
A musterer who suffered petrol bums to the hands, arms, and face at Mount Algidus station. Lake Coleridge, yesterday was flown by light aircraft to Christchurch airport in the evening. The man, Murray J. Turnbull, was admitted to the Burwood Hospital, where his condition was described last night as satisfactory. • The flooded Wilberforce river prevented Mr Turnbull from being brought out in a vehicle for medical treatment A radio-telephone link with the station was used by a doctor to give instructions for treatment. The aircraft, an Auster, was piloted by Mr A. M. Richards, of Hororata. He landed at Christchurch about 6 p.m. after a 45-minute flight from Mount Algidus.
