ARMENIANS JUBILANT
Manuscripts Returned (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) JERUSALEM (Jordan), March 13. Jubilant Armenians kissed the manuscripts of the Gospel when they went on view in Jerusalem yesterday after their return from London. The 23 manuscripts, valued at £500,000, were brought back last night by Bishop Shane Azamian, the Chancellor of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem. The London auction firm of Sotheby’s agreed to stop the proposed sale of the manuscripts after a meeting with Bishop Azamian last week.
