Liberian Ship Sinks
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LISBON, March 13. The 2818-ton Liberian cargo ship Dias sank last night off the Portuguese south coast, maritime authorities said yesterday. All 22 crew men were saved, they said. A fire had started in the ship’s engine room and spread to the deck. Crew members, with the help of several other ships including the United States naval tanklanding ship Tallahatchie County, put out the blaze. But as soon as the leak was discovered today, the crew abandoned ship.
