Championship To Brigadiers (N.X. Pre>» AttocfaHon) HASTINGS. Auckland Brigadiers were clear winner in the New Zealand Marching Association's senior championship at Hastings on Saturday. They beat 17 other teams to win the Perry Cup. the premier award in New Zealand marching. Second was Blair Athol (Otago) and Creeta Guards (Southland) was third. Results were:— Display: Cresta Guards (Southland) and Glencairn (Otago) (equal) 1. Aggregate: Brigadiers (Auckland). Champion leader: D. Rowley (Blair Athol) 1, Mrs P. Inder (Downing's Red Robins. Canterbury) 2. Leader on march: B. Rowley (Blair Athol) 1. Uniforms: Philips Hi Z (Canterbury) and Rover Celtic (Wellington) (equal) 1, Central Grenadiers (Hawke’s Bay) and Cresta Guards (equal) 2. March past: Cresta Guards. Best marker: S. Cable (Central Grenadiers). Best instructor: Mr A. 1. Denny (Brigadiers).
