Put Placard In Station
(N.I. Press Association! WELLINGTON, Mar. 11. A 18-year-old university student, Paul Wilton Tolley, was fined £lO by Mr M. B. Scully, S.M., on Friday for placing anti-President Johnson placards on the wall of the Taranaki street police station and on a telephone booth in Taranaki street four days before the President's visit to Wellington last October. Tolley pleaded guilty by letter to two charges. The placard contained a picture of the President and the words “The bully with an air force.” T would have inflicted a higher maximum penalty if there was one,” the Magistrate said.
