Bankrupt A Minor
A meeting of creditors of Andrew Noel Nisbet was adjourned sine die by the Official Assignee (Mr T. A. F. Withers) when Nisbet stated on oath that he was 20 years old. Mr Withers said it was doubtful whether Nisbet could be adjudged a bankrupt because he was a minor. He adjourned the meeting to seek further advice. Nisbet, a salesman, of 25 Clarendon terrace, filed a petition in bankruptcy on February 24, on legal advice, because proceedings had been taken against him and imprisonment for his debts was imminent, Mr Withers said. No creditors attended the meeting.
