FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A large anti-cyclone is advancing across the central Tasman Sea towards central New Zealand. Forecast:
Canterbury and Kaikoura Coast.—Winds light to moderate and variable. Scattered cloudy areas at first otherwise weather fine and cool. Central Marlborough, the Sounds and Nelson. —Moderate south to south-east winds predominating. Weather fine and cool.
Buller and Westland.—Light or moderate variable winds. Weather fine with moderate day temperatures. Outlook.—All districts: clear or partly cloudy weather.
