SYDNEY, March 10.
Truckloads of New Zealand fish and lamb which arrived in Sydney this week were today condemned as unfit for human consumption by Sydney health authorities. The food was ordered to be destroyed. It will be ground into fertiliser. The fish and lamb were part of a consignment which arrived in Sydney on the freighter Kaitoke on Monday. The food had been contaminated by sea water. The cause of the trouble and extent of the damage are not known yet. One estimate was that two truckloads of 2011 b cartons of fish, involving several hundred cartons, were condemned. Lamb destined for Darwin was also condemned.
