Street Appeal
Although affected by the weather, the combined children’s homes appeal yesterday had done “very well,” said the secretary (Mrs F. S. Miller-Mead). The total counted by 7 p.m. was £BOO. Much of the money collected in the suburbs would not be counted till Monday, and it was expected that there would also be generous contributions again.
