Two Houses Sold
A four-roomed square house at 31 Draper street, Richmond, was sold for £2570 at public auction yesterday. The property was offered on account of the estate of Nellie Barber by Mr E. G. Keenan. Outbuildings on the section of 41 perches, zoned residential B, include a garage, a glasshouse, and a shed. The Government valuation is £l6OO.
The opening bid was £lBOO. There were six bids of £lOO, three of £5O, and two of £lO. Offered on account of the estate of Elizabeth Mary Muldoon, a stuccoed cottage on a section of 20.2 perches at 372 Worcester street, Linwood, was sold for £l9OO. The auctioneer was Mr R. G. Bell. A bungalow at 250 Grahams road, Upper Riccarton, was passed in at £4OOO. It was offered on account of the estate of William Edward Shannon by Sherris and Wilson, Ltd., the auctioneer being Mr C. M. Robertson. The house has two livingrooms and three bedrooms. There is also a detached room, garage, and toolshed on the section. The Government valuation is £3400.
