PROMISING JUNIOR MILER.—The strongly-built junior, R. Tayler (Lovelock, Timaru), faces the biggest challenge of his athletic career at the end of this week. He has been entered for the New Zealand senior mile championship at Lower Hutt as a Canterbury representative and may provide an unexpected threat to the established milers. Tayler won the junior mile title last season in 4min 8.3sec, faster than J. Davies (Waikato) won the senior mile.
