BULK WHEAT LOADlNG.—Lyttelton’s first bulk wheat loading aboard ship began on Friday when the Northern Steamship company’s motor vessel Maranui started to load 960 tons of milling wheat for Auckland. She used two of the company’s own “grainveyors,” seen in the photograph, assisted by two crane grabs. The wheat came alongside in rail waggons. The Maunganui, owned by the same company, will load 1030 tons of feed wheat by the same method.
