Barbara Albertson lowered the record for the 220 yards freestyle. equalled the 50 yards backstroke record and won the senior championship in the St. Mary’s College annual swimming sports. Records remained unchanged in the intermediate grade, which was won by Elizabeth Dunne, while in the junior grade, which was won by Louise Armstrong, the 33 1-3 yards breaststroke record was improved by .7sec by Jillian Thompson. Championship winners were: senior champion, Barbara Albertson, 8 points: runner-up, Mary Robertson, 4 points. Intermediate champion, Elizabeth Dunne. 7 points: runners-up, Rina Limic and Barbara Lenihan (equal), 4 points. Junior champion, Louise Armstrong, 10 points; runners-up, Jillian Thompson and Margaret Scott (equal), 3 points.
