Collegians Unbeatable Old Collegians A won the senior B cricket competition, and entry to next year’s senior A grade, on Saturday. The team, with M. G. Lester’s left-arm spin paving the way, recovered from a first innings deficit against East-Shirley to win outright and take an unbeatable lead with a round to PlayFinishing their match by 11.15, Hagley Old Boys moved into second place in the competition, five points ahead of East-Shir-ley, while West-University, with a first innings win against H. 5.0.8., drew a little away from that team. Points:—Old Collegians A 89. Hagley Old Boys 69, East-Shirley 64, West-University 32, H. 5.0.8. 26. Old Collegians B 11. Scores:— Hagley Old Boys 188 beat Old Collegians B 80 and 90 (D. A. Pickering 47; G. F. Harper 4/20, T. L. .Jones 3/31, M. E. Sibley 2/24) by an innings and 17 runs. West-University 160 and 161/ 8 dec. <D. C. Hopkins 63 not out, A. R. G. Byrne 38: P. A. T. Small 5/51) beat H. 5.0.8. 71 and 175/9 (J. G. Leggat 68, C. G. Snook 36, M. R. Spinks 24 not nut; Byrne 3/48, Hopkins 2/22, C L. Schmidt 2/55) on the first innings.

Old Collegians A 165 (J. H. M. Dawson 46, M. G. Lester 29, N. Kelly 4/50, P. G. Coman 4/43) and 108/4 'D. S. Banks 43. H. J. Taylor 23; D. I. A. Cameron 2 25. Coman 2/30) beat EastShirlev 175 and 97 (J. W. Grocott 22; Lester 5/27, N. F. Curtis 3 26, Dawson 2/34) by six wickets.
