Catholics In Saigon March

(N.Z.P. A .-Reuter—Copyright)

SAIGON, Feb. 26.

A torch-light procession of 2000 black-shirted young Catholics marched down Saigon’s main street last night shouting their opposition to a “sell-out” peace in Vietnam. The marchers, accompanied by Vietnamese Roman Catholic Priests, carried effigies of the Presidents Ho Chi Minh and de Gaulle, the United Nations SecretaryGeneral, U Thant, and the U.S. Senator, Mr William J. Fulbright, who has criticised the Vietnam war. The effigies were burnt outside the Independence Palace.
