Welsh Want Own House
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 26. A Welsh Liberal member of Parliament is to present a bill to the House of Commons calling for the establishment of a Welsh Parliament.
The bill will be put forward on Wednesday, March I—St. David’s Day—by the Liberal member for Montgomeryshire, Mr Emlyn Hooson. The bill will also propose a Welsh Prime Minister, the Liberal Party announced today. Mr Hooson will ask for a first reading of the bill, which is designed to give the people of Wales control over their domestic affairs.
