(N.Z. Preaa Ann.—Copyright. LAWRENCE (Kansas). The American runner, J. Ryun, broke the world indoor half-mile record yesterday with a time of Imin 48.3 sec. Ryun bettered the mark of Imin 49sec set last Saturday by T. van Ruden at Louisville, Kentucky. Ryun holds the world outdoor records for 880 yards (1:44.9) and mile (3:51.3).
