GOVERNMENT AFFILIATION
C.A.R.P. Not Critical
One of the organisers of the Christchurch branch of C.A.R.P., Mrs R. Phillips, said last evening that she felt a report published in “The Press” yesterday implied that she was criticising Government’s in general and criticising them for failing to affiliate with C.A.R.P. Mrs Phillips said that she could not criticise Government for failing to affiliate as it had made no statement whether it would affiliate or not
In her speech she said: “We are not to be affiliated to any political party, though we cannot stand aside from politics as we want any government to investigate prices that rise beyond our means.”
