Sea Rangers Raise Flag
Sea rangers of the S.R.S. Pukaki began their “Thinking Day” function at HM.N.Z. Pegasus on Thursday evening with a flag-raising ceremony.
The sea rangers, a senior section of the Christchurch branch of the Girl Guide’s Association, have their own flag. Crew members Elaine Mackintosh and Judy Barford performed the ceremony. The function was organised by senior bosuns, Suzanne Humphrey and Pamela Winchester. The skipper, Mrs V. Miller, was also officiating.
