Training In New Currency
One of the Decimal Currency Board’s staff who is training retail shop assistants will visit North Canterbury in the next few weeks to give a series of short training programmes. She is Miss D. Bower.
He itinerary is: February IS and 16, Waiau, Hawarden, Culverden, Waikari area and Hanmer Springs; February 20, Amberley, Balcalrn, Sefton, Ashley, Waikuku area; February 21, Oxford, Cust, Rangiora: February 22 and 23, Rangiora and Southbrook (War Memorial Hall); February 27, Kaiapoi (including Woodend); February 28 and March 'l, Belfast area and Marshland and Styx.
Each training session is completed in two hours. Brightly-coloured slides and two long-playing records are used as aids. The aids are left with the retailers for them to use in further training and refresher courses.
