CANTERBURY TEAM
A provisional team of 26 swimmers and one diver to represent Canterbury at the New Zealand championships in Christchurch next month, was announced at the end of the centre title meeting in the Centennial Pool last night. The selectors (Messrs B. E. MacKenzie, C. A. Harrow and J. H. Johnson) said the final composition of the team was subject to performances at the South Island championships tomorrow. The team is:— Men.—J. P. de Malmanche, J. C. Edmonds, I. Grieg, D. M. Hindle, M. Johnston, A. B. Kindred, N. Williams. Women.—R. McKenzie, M. Slade, J. Wright. Boys.—B. Doherty, D. S. Bowman, P. Hay, M. King, B. M. Mustchin, B. Ward, R. J. Wilson.
Girls.—B. Albertson, G. Dacombe, M. Darch, S. Hallam, K. Harris, J. Hay, J. Nielson, M. Richardson, T. K. Shipston, C. J. Whiting.
