Young Farmer’s Visit
Mr K. W. Trotter, of Beechwood, 'New South Wales, is at present touring New Zealand as a guest of the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs. The tour, which is for three months, is being sponsored by the Bank of New South Wales to enable Mr Trotter to visit many farming areas throughout the country to compare farming methods of New Zealand and Australia.
Mr Trotter, aged 23, lives on his parents’ dairy farm where they run Jersey cows
and pigs. He is interested in pasture improvement, tractor operation and maintenance, vegetable growing and cow and calf rearing. Interests apart from fanning are Rugby, debating and flying. Mr Trotter holds a private pilot’s licence.
Mr Trotter has been a member of the Beechwood Rural Youth Club since 1953, during which time he has held the positions of president, secretary and club leader. He is also a member of group and district councils with the Rural Youth movement and a member of Wauchope Pastoral and Agricultural Society.
