UNIVERSITY TEXTBOOKS

No Delay Expected

Textbooks for university students were arriving in thousands, the manager of the educational book section of Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., (Mr I. C. Thomas said yesterday. The books were now going oh to the shelves of university book shops and the main store in the city. Mr Thomas said there would be no delay in the arrival of books before the beginning of the new university year. The only books to be delayed would be those not at present available from the publishers.

More than 1000 text books are listed in the University Calendar for 1967.

University professors have already been told which will not be available because they are out of print. Full-time students beginning their university studies, will need as many as 15 textbooks in some faculties. Students in more advanced stages may need only two or three. The sale of university text books is expected to begin in earnest during the first or second week in February.
