Commission Of Inquiry
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 24.
The Cabinet today approved the setting-up of a commission of inquiry into last Thursday’s disaster at the Strongman State mine. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said that the Minister of Mines (Mr Shand), who was in Greymouth from Thursday until Sunday, had given a verbal report to the Cabinet on the disaster.
