Christchurch Fund £118
Subscriptions to the fund opened by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning) reached £llB yesterday. Any donations received by “The Press” will be forwarded to the city treasurer (Mr L. A. G. Rich). Mr Rich yesterday received £65 telegraphed from the Lumsden Lions Club. The money was raised from an elephant race held while a circus was in Lumsden, and the appeal for the miners’ dependants was promptly approved as the recipient.
