Intravenous Solutions
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. A Government decision to invite proposals for domestic manufacture of intravenous solutions required for hospital use was announced today by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall). He said that at present the major part of hospital requirements of these solutions was produced by the hospitals themselves. This method of manufacture had definite limitations, and with the development overseas of better techniques it was preferable that production should be concentrated in specialist manufacturing units.
