First Im. Tons Of Kraft Pulp * (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 24. N. Z. Forest Products, Ltd., has made its first million tons of kraft pulp at Kinleith since production began in July, 1953. More than one-third (344,325 tons) was exported. This was worth about, £15,500,000. The other 655,675 tons was processed into kraft paper and boards and printing and writing papers, in the Kinleith paper mills. The present output of Kinleith pulp, was more than 150,000 tons a year for local use and exoprt, the managing director (Mr R. H. Smythe) said today. Extensions at the mill would raise production to more than 200,000 tons by the end of next year.
