Body Found In River

(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, Jan. 23. The body of a 56-year-old widow was recovered from the Rangitaiki river at Thornton on Saturday evening. The dead woman was

Mrs Puti Hona, of Te Teko. Mrs Hona had been camping with relatives near the river and was missing after she went to the river’s edge for a wash on Saturday morning.

Her body was found shortly after 7 p.m., just as a police search party was being organised. Mrs Hona is survived by an adult family.
