MAY NOT COMPETE
The Canterbury novice road cycling champion, J. W. Beresford (Mairehau), is unlikely to contest the provincial track titles on February 10-12.
Beresford, one of the most impressive of Canterbury’s younger riders ■ on the track this season, entered hospital yesterday with appendicitis. He could be fit in time for the New Zealand championships in Auckland in March.
