The Rev. M. J. Goodall, vicar of the parish of Shirley since 1959, has announced his resignation from the' cure to join the staff of the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch. In his new position as social worker with the council he will be concerned mainly with the social problems of families and the placement and supervision of children in foster care. He expects to take up his new duties in April. The Prime Minister of the Cook Islands (Mr Albert Henry) and Mrs Henry will arrive in Auckland by air today. It is understood that Mr Henry is coming for a medical check.—(P.A.)
