WE have received instructions to hold a Clearing Sale of the Dairy Herd, Plant and Furniture on account of Department of Health, Sunnyside Hospital, Lincoln road, on the Property at Lincoln road, on Thursday January 26, 1967. The Dairy Herd comprises:— 46 Friesian Cows 9 Friesian-Ayrshire Cross Cows 17 Jersey Cows 1 Nine Months Friesian Bull 1 Eight Months’ Jersey Bull Full particulars of age, production, calving dates, etc., will be available in catalogue form on the day of the sale. The herd has been tested for the past twenty years and for the 1965-66 season the average for 109 cows was 3451 b of butterfat with 4.07 test. Replacements of heifers from top cows at the rate 20-25 per cent have been added each year, thus allowing heavy culling of poorer producers. The herd has been on town supply for the past ten years and was T.B. tested on December 20, 1966, with no reactors.
