Meadow Bank Due At Winton

Meadow bank and Spanaway, two Dunedin pacers which have raced with mixed fortune on the Southland circuit in the last fortnight, promise an interesting clash in the Publicans’ Handicap at the Winton Trotting Club’s meeting today. Meadowbank, which is to be driven by H. W. Skinner, may prove too smart for Spanaway, which is inclined to get out of her ground in the early running over this sprint distance. The Winton course provides the best racing circuit in Southland and it will be in fast order today. The T.A.B. double will be run on the Winton Free-For-All and the Borough Handicap, for which Sandy Mac and Sand Storm, both of which are to be driven by A. R Townley, will be the favourites.
