The former England test batsman, the Reverend David Sheppard, has appealed to all English county cricket teams asking them not to play cricket on Sundays, the “Daily Mail’’ reported.
He has also written to the former Prime Minister, Sir Alec Douglas Home, who is president of the M.C.C.
