WELLINGTON, Dec. 29.
The Wahine and the Maori have carried more than 13,200 passengers and 2300 cars between Wellington and Lyttelton during the last six days. Normal sailings have been supplemented by special daylight and Sunday evening trips. This is the first Christmas holiday period with two drive-on vessels running together. A Union Company official said today that the number of passengers carried was 35 per cent more than the same period last year, and the number of cars 93 per cent more.
