EXTENDED JOURNEY.—The rear coach of an empty train of the Japanese National Railways lying embedded in the side of an apartment house. Failure of brakes caused it to plough through the buffers and a fence at marshalling yards in Tokyo. There were no casualties. The train was arriving at the yards for a maintenance check.
